Join Doll and Teddy bear Enthusiast, Collecting Influencer, and Virtual Event Entrepreneur, Rachel Hoffman as she guides you and a group of like-minded individuals through a first-ever Virtual Doll Convention, with a side order of extra self-love and inspiration. {This convention is run entirely on Facebook - so you will need an account to join the group and participate.} With the support of experts across the country, you will enjoy four days of virtual seminars, special exhibits, doll care, and preservation workshops, AND shop a doll and Teddy bear virtual salesroom. We will also take you on two Virtual Museum Tours. On Sunday evening, we will participate in a cook along dinner with David Robinson. You’ll receive the ingredients list ahead of time and can tune in live to cook along with us, right from Michael and David’s home kitchen. Then we will eat together at our own virtual banquet. Your souvenir will consist of a beautiful piece of printable ephemera posted in the convention group each morning. The entire convention will take place in a private group on Facebook, open only to Conventioneers. All of the scheduled events will remain in the group for later viewing for those who can’t catch it live or want to watch it again. We’ll have daily conversation starters and check-ins as well as an open forum for you to connect with others who are attending the convention.

Conventioneers will be encouraged to share their personal collections, and enjoy lots of ‘look and learn’ moments from each other.

Every morning, you will receive an email with the planned activities of the day, and a live check-in from Rachel. Can’t attend at time of live stream? No problem! The content remains in the group for later viewing.

We will take you on two virtual museum tours:

Dior: From Paris to the World - This exhibit surveys 70 years of the House of Dior's enduring legacy and its global influence. You will study beautiful photos of more than 200 couture dresses, as well as accessories, and costume jewelry.

The Molly Brown House Museum - The Molly Brown House Museum is a house that was the home of American philanthropist, socialite, Titanic Survivor, and activist Margaret Brown. You will love this historic house tour.

8 Educational Seminars with Doll and Teddy Bear Experts and 3 Special Exhibits

Seminars: Tune in twice a day to our Facebook LIVE events where a new expert or teacher will interact with you. You will be able to ask questions, interact, and view the seminars at a later date if your schedule doesn't permit for live viewing. These programs will include lots of dolls shown in real-time. The workshops will feel so real; you will want to reach out and touch your screen!

Special Exhibits: The special exhibits will include a chat from Rachel + beautiful photos that you can save for your archival and educational purposes.

Quick Look and Learn Moments: Throughout the convention, Rachel Hoffman and Michael Canadas will pop in with some quick “look and learn” moments that are under 5 minutes in length and will focus on surprise topics.

Workshops: It's never too early or too late in your doll collecting journey to learn tips and tricks for doll care and preservation. In the virtual workshops, you will receive your supply lists the week before so you can work with the instructor in real-time. Shop A Virtual Salesroom

On Friday, we will open the virtual doll and teddy bear salesroom! Shop hundreds of items in a virtual sale filled with exciting finds in every price range. Shop from hand-selected vendors across the country who will be picking highlights from their inventories special for this event. Each seller will have their own album in the group, and you can shop each virtual booth with ease.

Movie Screening: Popular Classic - On Friday night after a busy day of shopping, we will unwind in the group with a classic movie screening. The group will take a poll and decide on the film at the beginning of the day.



Rachel Hoffman's Virtual Doll Convention

World Premier of La Fete De Parisiennes

Michael Canadas and David Robinson of the Carmel Doll Shop and The Grovian Doll Museum have put together "La Fete De Parisiennes" which will make its world debut at the culmination of the January Virtual Doll Convention. Narrated by Michael Canadas, this video showcases an extraordinary French doll exhibit that was originally on display in 2006 at the Doll and Toy Museum in Kansas City. It showcased hundreds of dolls from around the world. This video will be a delight! Enjoy a preview of this video - It's a French Fashion Doll Party that you do not want to miss.

Sunday Evening Banquet:

Virtual Dinner Party Cook-along with David Robinson and Rachel Hoffman LIVE in Pacific Grove, California

If you are friends with Rachel on Facebook, you understand her passion for preparing healthy and delicious meals. We are going to prepare one LIVE in the group - with YOU! You’ll receive the ingredients list prior to the start of the convention and can tune in live with Rachel and David on Sunday evening to cook along with them, right in Michael and David’s Home Kitchen. We will have our own Sunday Evening Banquet; feel free to dress up before we chow down! We will then enjoy a showing of "La Fete De Parisiennes" which will be the grand finale to this exciting week.

Daily Convention Souvenir

You will receive a daily souvenir consisting of a beautiful printable image for your projects and archives. The images are curated by Rachel, you will love them. The planned daily ephemera is all vintage and antique inspired - it will consist of a mix of Victorian prints. stationary, bookmarks, and more. An example is these beautiful princess cards to the left. They will be posted each morning in the convention group files. Just download and print!
