Helen Kish X VDC Festival of St. Lucia Costume and Crown | EXQUISITE ENSEMBLE AND HEAD WREATH/CROWN

$65.00

Inspired by the faithful works of Saint Lucia, Helen Kish created this luminous costume that is sure to bring light into any home. Saint Lucia is known for helping persecuted Christians who were hiding in catacombs by delivering food to them. In order to have her hands free to carry provisions for the people, she attached candles to a wreath on her head to light the way in the darkness.  This meticulously detailed costume features beautifully embroidered poinsettias, and a wreath sculpted by Helen, with little candles that fit right in it! Grace is delighted with this creation because it is not only a work of art, but it is also a powerful reminder that even in the darkest places, there is light and hope ... and sometimes you might just be the one chosen to bring it to others.  Shine on, dear friends! (You will need to supply your own candles; standard cake candles fit nicely!)
